How Fibrely Works on Openreach, CityFibre and Freedom Fibre

Fibrely operates as a retail-only ISP, reselling wholesale FTTP access from Openreach FTTP, CityFibre, and Freedom Fibre. Availability depends on which network serves your address.

Fibrely does not own physical network infrastructure. Instead, they operate as a reseller and retail ISP, sitting on top of multiple underlying wholesale altnet and Openreach networks. This means customers can access full fibre broadband through a single retail relationship, regardless of which wholesale network serves their address.

Openreach FTTP is Fibrely’s primary network partner. They sell broadband over the entire Openreach full-fibre network where it is available. If your home already has an Openreach FTTP connection installed, the setup can be as quick as plug-and-play. This network is available across many parts of England, Scotland, and Wales.

CityFibre is the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, rolling out FTTP to over 4.5 million homes and offering symmetrical speeds and XGS-PON technology capable of delivering speeds up to 10Gbps.

Freedom Fibre is an alternative network (altnet) that builds full-fibre infrastructure, primarily across the North West and West Midlands, also using XGS-PON technology capable of speeds up to 10Gbps.

Fibrely Pricing, Connection Fees and Early Termination Charges

Price Increases: Without Broadband Assurance, Fibrely increases broadband prices annually. With Broadband Assurance, your price is locked for the full contract term plus an additional two months. If you are on the Standard Tariff (out of contract), any price increase is applied once a year with 30 days’ notice.

One-Off Charges:

Early Termination Fees: If you leave before the end of your minimum period, Fibrely calculates early termination fees as follows: monthly price (excluding VAT and discounts) × months left, minus 55%, plus VAT. Equipment must be returned within 30 days or you will be charged the depreciated value.

Cooling-Off Period: Fibrely offers a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after you accept the terms, or up to 24 hours before installation (whichever comes first).
